Asus steps ahead in the game with Google for Tango!
Asus announced Zenfone AR at CES 2017. The smartphone is compatible with both Tango AR platform and Google’s Daydream VR platform. This is the second Tango enabled smartphone after Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.
The smartphone comes with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI on top. It has 8GB of RAM and sports 23-megapixel main camera with a motion tracking camera and a depth sensing camera that supports Tango’s AR capabilities. (Tango is an augmented reality (AR) platform that combines camera, gyroscope, and accelerometer to estimate six degree of freedom motion tracking, providing you the ability to track 3D motion of a device while simultaneously creating a map of the environment).
The Asus Zenfone AR comes in Charcoal Black colour with leather finish. No word on pricing and will be roll out in Q2 of 2017.
