The smartphones will be targeted at the budget segment
The Indian smartphone market is among the fastest-growing markets in the world, and it seems, every brand wants to be a part of the action. A new brand dubbed COMIO is also foraying in the country soon. The company is expected to launch a range of smartphones with the focus on the budget segment.
COMIO is part of the Chinese ODM (original device manufacturer) Topwise, which was founded in 2005 and manufactured smartphones for several phone companies. It launched the COMIO brand in 2008, and its first smartphone was released in 2015.
The company has already started its India operations, and will launch its first smartphones in mid-August this year. Targeting the price-conscious consumers in India, its phones will be priced between Rs 6,000 and 12,000.
