Google Announced the new Home Hub Smart Display and Pixel Slate Tab

Alongside Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Google has also announced two new essential gadgets known as the Google Home Hub Smart Display and the Google Pixel Slate Tablet. We’ve already covered an article on the Pixel smartphones and now its time for other devices. In this specific story, we will be sharing the detailed features and pricing of the two new devices. So without wasting any time let’s know more about it.

Google Home Hub Smart Display

Google Home Hub is one of its kind devices in the market and comes with built-in Google Assistant functionality. Like any other Home or Android device, one can use voice commands to get the job done. Using Voice commands one can trigger the search, YouTube, Google Photos, Calendar, Maps, etc. Surprisingly the device doesn’t have any camera in the front or rear. In the front panel, the device only houses Ambient Light Sensor to adjust the display brightness as per different indoor environments.

Google Home Hub Smart houses a 7.0(inch) Touch Display so that you can interact with it. It even provides a feature called the routine which provides useful information about the upcoming day. The device offers a number of music services including Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, etc. The device can be paired with other devices like Lights, TV’s and doors to make them turn on/off through voice commands. Google has unveiled it in three colors Sand, Aqua, Chalk, and Charcoal colors for a price tag of $149(approx. INR 11,035).

Google Pixel Slate Tablet

It’s been a long time since Google has announced its last Tablet in the market. Google Pixel Slate runs on Google’s ChromeOS. Google will provide it in a number of variants based on the processor: 8th Gen Intel Core i3, M5 or Celeron. It will be provided in the following RAM variants: 4GB/8GB/16GB and for storage, it will be offered in the following variants: 32GB/64GB/128GB/256GB. Pixel Slate comes with a compact 12.3(inch) LTPS LCD Display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels.

The device is even compatible with Pixelbook Pen which makes it appropriate for creators as well. In the front department, it houses an 8MP(Aperture f/1.9) snapper in the rear segment whereas in the rear an 8MP(Aperture f/1.8) shooter. For security, Google is providing a Fingerprint Scanner coupled with Titan C chip. Pixel Slate offer Dual front-facing speakers coupled with 2 mics. Miscellaneous features include 2 x USB Type-C ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, etc. Based on the specification the cost of the devices starts at $599(approx. INR 44,000) and goes up to $1699(approx. INR 1,25,000).
