  1. binatone bb200 and magicon senior duo are cheaper than aasan2 whats the difference ?????

    • Hi Yogesh,

We appreciate your query and will try to clarify your doubts by the following points.

As far as Binatone BB200 is concerned, it doesn’t even touch the specifications of Aasaan2.
Since it has very few features like Big Button,Talking Buttons and 3 quick dials.
Same we can say about Magicon Senior Duo. It has less hardware specifications as compared to iBall Aasaan 2.

Following are the key specifications which makes iBall Aasaan 2 superior to Binatone BB200 & Magicon Senior Duo:
      1. It can store up to 500 contacts in its phonebook, which the other two can’t.
      2. It can store 100 messages in its inbox
      3. Internal Memory is 32 MB and can be expandable upto 8 GB (Magicon Senior Duo can be expanded upto 2GB)
      4. Inbox Blacklist functionality.
      5. Caller Blacklist functionality.
      6. Wireless FM.
      7. Music playback, camera functionality.
      8. It can send out ‘SOS’ text messages to five pre-configured contact numbers and sequentially calling them till a number is answered.
      9. Bluetooth and Mobile Tracking.
      10. Alarm with Voice,Ringtone alert, Scheduler,Currency and Unit Converter.

and so many other features makes iBall Aasaan 2 a best buying option over Binatone BB200 & Magicon Senior Duo.

  2. 4. Inbox Blacklist functionality.
    5. Caller Blacklist functionality.

Deep Thakkar could you please clarify the above? How they function and the purpose served? Thank you. I have a Senior Citizen model. Unfortunately, the instructions for each function are not elaborated and I can’t find anything on the Internet. Could you also mail the reply to [email protected]?

    • Hi Thelma,

Thanks for visiting my blog. I will definitely try to clarify your doubts.

The two points you have asked to clarify are:

      1. Inbox Blacklist functionality.
      2. Caller Blacklist functionality.

Firstly, I will start with Inbox Blacklist Functionality. As the name suggests, this functionality helps the user to block the messages(SMS) from the unwanted recipients. For eg, The network operator like Idea, Airtel, Aircel etc and other departments like Banks, Property Dealers etc sends unwanted sms. So, to avoid such kind of unnecessary messages, users can block unwanted numbers to send sms.

Secondly, the Caller Blacklist Functionality. Similar to the Inbox blacklist, users can block the unwanted callers to call them.

Both of the functionalities are important for the users specially senior citizens.

I hope, the above mentioned points clarified your doubts.

      • Deep, thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate it. I have called
Airtel and asked them to stop all Promotional SMS’s and Promotional
        calls.

However the ‘blacklist’ function is to do with the
IBall Aasaan. I was told that if i click on Blacklist and add the
unwanted numbers, the persons concerned would not be able to get thro’
as they would hear a ‘busy’ tone when calling my number. So far this has
not worked! I still receive calls from these undesirable characters.
Ofcourse I do not answer when I recognize their numbers! However is this
the way one has to do it? Just go to Blacklist under Call Settings and
        then enter the numbers?

No details are given in the User
Manual concerning the method one has to employ to activate a function or
even what that particular function is all about! Everything is not
self-evident and I do think the User Manual is not very effective in
        that sense.

There are other questions I have wrt the
functionality of the Aasaan which I will do so in the course of time
after we solve the Blacklist Mystery 🙂

        Thank you for your help.
        T.C.

        • You are most welcome Thelma 🙂 .

          Regards,
          Deep

Dear Mr.Thakkar, I am a very senior citizen(>81 yrs) have recently purchased Iball
Aasaan 2 phone. I find the user manual is very inadequate, particularly for seniors like me who are very inexperienced in the use of cell phones. I want to block unwanted smses, but I cant even get to “Black list” option. You will do us great service by explaining how to get to “Blacklist” first of all , and then use it.
    Thanks once again.

  4. Dear Deep

I have just few queries :

What is the volume level like if the phone is not on loudspeaker during a call?
How can I use speed dial? I see some people have issues with this feature, on long press of the key assigned to speed dial, it doesn’t connect.

I will appreciate if you can provide some information on these points ?

  5. I do not know how to speed dial.
    I go to setting then
    phone setup
    time and date
    call setup
    speed dial
then i enter the data name and number. No problem.
But I can not figure out how to dial speed dial.
please send your reply on my email
    Thank you

    • Dear Thakar,
