IFA 2016: Lenovo K6, K6 Power and K6 Note released quietly

Lenovo has announced the new K series of smartphones at the IFA 2016. The Lenovo K6, K6 Power, and K6 Note succeed the K5 family, and are expected to start selling starting this month itself. The pricing is still not clear for these smartphones but we do have information about their features and specifications.

These smartphones will be made available in three different colors i.e Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver. They have a metal unibody which means they are quite sturdy. Apart from that, these smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and they are dual SIM smartphones. They come with an integrated fingerprint sensor which is a great thing and is becoming a norm in modern smartphones.

All of these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 which is an octa-core processor and they are coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU for graphics processing. Thew main difference appears when you compare the screens, RAM, and cameras on these phones.

The Lenovo K6 has a 5-inch full-HD display and it comes with 2GB RAM. You can choose between 16 GB and 32 GB storage options and expand the storage using a microSD card easily. You get a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and the front facing camera is of 8MP. The phone has a 3,000mAh battery which will provide a good battery life. You also get connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

The Lenovo K6 Powe provides more RAM and battery to choose from and other than that, it is the same phone as Lenovo K6. You get to choose from an option of 2GB or 3GB RAM and you get a 4,000mAh battery on Lenovo K6 Power.

The Lenovo K6 Note which most people were looking forward to is a much more premium phone as compared to the former two. It comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display. You can choose from two options – 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage or 4GB RAM / 32GB storage. You can choose to use a microSD card to expand the storage up to 128GB which is goodOptics include a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.

On the imaging side, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with dual-tone LED flash. The front-facing shooter is an 8-megapixel camera. You get a 4,000mAh battery and it has the same connectivity options as the other two phones.

There are the three new phones released in the Lenovo K series and it seems Lenovo K6 Note is the most powerful, but all of them cater to different needs.
