In the recent course of events Micromax has formed a strategic partnership with BSNL on of the largest telecom service provider of India. BSNL is wholly government owned company which provides high speed data connectivity 3G to over than 2300 cities and towns in India. As per the current scenario of the Global market the Indian users need to be accustomed of the data connectivity to keep up with the developed countries. There is a major segment in the smartphones users of the country which depend on the data connectivity. But still the number of users still not using the data connectivity is significantly large. In a country like India with significant levels of poverty and illiteracy, companies should strategically improvise the markets as well. So in the BSNL Micromax strategic partnership, the BSNL’s focus on data innovation and its expertise in mobile network, along-with Micromax’s expertise in device marketing will redefine the user experience and take data penetration to the next level.
Under this partnership, Micromax and BSNL will extend unique reverse bundling handset offers of free data usage of up to 2GB per quarter to the Indian consumers. Under the partnership agreement, six Micromax devices will be bundled with the BSNL offers. Two feature phones (X070, X088), two smartphones (Bolt A37, Bolt A37B), a tablet (Fun book Mini P410i) and one data card (MMX377G) will be covered under the strategic partnership. The offer package includes 2GB data per quarter for 12 months, free voice calls (on net) – 500 minutes per quarter for 12 months, for the activation of freebies customer need to get plan voucher of INR 153 and the validity of freebies will be up to 12 months from the date of activation.
