Nokia stores bye bye and Say ‘Hi’ to Microsoft Stores!
Microsoft now formally begins the transition of Nokia branded outlets to Microsoft. To start with the company launched its first Microsoft Priority Reseller Store in the world was opened in India at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. This store was unveiled by Mr. Chris Weber, Corporate Vice President, Mobile Device Sales at Microsoft.
In total, there are 15,684 retail outlets and 324 care centers across the globe which will get a makeover. Out of these, 3,287 of the retail outlets will get a complete makeover, signage to showcase products and services. The rest will be refreshed, with existing furniture being refurbished to the Microsoft branding with new signage.
As far as for India the transition is started as first one is In Gurgaon and rest 8,872 and 119 care centers will get makeover soon. And 441 outlets will get a complete new design.
This is one of the major step by Microsoft in branding themselves and entering into the retail market. The rebranded will lead the company to reach out to millions of new customers, where customers can get product overview of latest Microsoft products.
With the new look all the Nokia stores will be called as ‘Microsoft Priority Reseller stores’, while the value and experience stores will be known as ‘Microsoft Mobile Reseller stores’. Alongside with the announcement of the company’s rebranding, it will continue its service to existing Nokia device warranties and remain committed to provide best customer service. All the existing Nokia and Lumia devices will continue to be serviced through Care centers.
