Microsoft announced new Surface Book, which is an upgrade to previous generation. The new Surface Book comes with updated processor and better battery life. It is machine of its own kind with detachable 13.5-inch screen and 16-hours battery. According to Panos Panay, engineers and gamers need powerful machine, and Surface Book comes with quad-core Intel Core i7 chip instead of last year’s Core i5. It offers twice graphics performance than previous edition.
The Surface Book is architectured with new thermal-management system and it looks similar to last year model. The basic configuration will be 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM which will cost $2,400 and top end will be loaded with 1TB, 16GB RAM which will cost $3,300. They will be available for preorder from now and will ship on November 10.
