Obi gets new name and some latest smartphones!
Obi Mobiles is now Obi Worldphone. It announced Obi Worldphone SF1 and SJ1.5 two new smartphones. The SF1 comes with 5-inch display, 4G LTE network support, running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with its own UI. It comes with fiberglass body and metal accents at the top and bottom of the phone. The smartphone sports 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Hybrid auto focus for fast focus and 5MP front camera with LED Flash for selfies.
The Worldphone SJ1.5 comes with 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass, has 3G connectivity, running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with itsown UI on top. It has asymmetrical design with squared-off top and curved bottom. Both smartphone comes with pre-loaded AVG AntiVirus PRO for Android, Swiftkey, AccuWeather, Clean Master, and ColorNote.
The Obi Worldphone SF1 will be available for  US$199 (approx. Rs. 13,100) for 2GB RAM with 16GB memory variant and US$249 ( approx. Rs. 16,430) for 3GB RAM with 32GB memory variant. The Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 is priced at $129 (approx. Rs. 8,500). These smartphones will be go on sale from October. These will first roll out in growing markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey and India, and will be available in 50 to 70 high-growth countries by 2017.
