Sony expanded its portfolio with the new Google Assistant enabled WH-1000XM3 headphones and two new Smart Speakers. The WH-1000XM3 models are the second generation of noise-canceling headphones launched by Sony. Also the two Smart Speakers, SRS-XB501g and SRS-XB01 features Google’s AI helper. Sony also added a new voice assistant-enabled WF-SP900 wireless sports earbuds. All the three products showcased at IFA Berlin 2018.
Sony WH-1000XM3 Headphones
The WH-1000XM3 Headphones comes with an updated HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. Sony expresses this feature as the “next level of silence,” to the users. The processor also helps the headphone to captures surrounding noise with dual microphones. Then it passes the data to the processor to reduce extraneous sound with new dual noise sensor technology. It also features USB Type-C charging and offer up to 30-hour battery life. The integrated DAC and amp for 32-bit audio signal processing also helps to produce amazing sound quality.
SRS Smart Speakers
Sony SRS-XB501G Speaker
Sony features the new SRS-XB501G Speaker as the “party house” with its compact built. It has the IP65 water resistance rating so you can take it to the pool too. The Sony smart speakers also feature extra bass, engineered through satellite speaker units and subwoofer units working together to reinforce sound pressure. The speaker promises 16-hour battery life, and charges via USB-C. It also has other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
Sony SRS-XB01 Speaker
It can be said as the mini version of the above speaker. The new SRS-XB01 Speaker also features Sony’s Extra Bass technology but only offers IPX5 water resistance 6-hour battery life.
Sony WF-SP900 Earbuds
The new WF-SP900 Earbuds is for those who love being active. It comes with an IPX5/8 rating that allows users to swim in the pool or even the sea It has 4GB of internal memory and promises 3 hours of battery life using Bluetooth or 6 hours using onboard memory. the compact earbuds are colorful and affordable.
