World’s first layered phone…the Lenovo Vibe X2 – Review

Lenovo Vibe X2 ReviewLenovo in the recent course of events launched their latest flagship in a completely new design philosophy called as layered design. The phone has very impressive looks and has four distinct layers if you observe the smartphone from the sides. The innovative design along with the blazing fast and flawless performance gives the smartphone a premium feel. The unibody form factor, less thickness and less weight of the smartphone is a turn on for most of the users.

As far as the specifications of the smartphone is concerned the Lenovo Vibe X2 has a 5 inch capacitive display at a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which shows vibrance in all sorts of colors and videos. Along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection the display promises a long scratch free life. The display response is very fluid and responsive.  The back has a gold colored matte finish which is not very prone to smudges and looks good. The smartphone has MediaTek MT6595m octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz which is almost equivalent to all flagship devices present in the market in the current market. The powerful processor is coupled up with 2 GB of RAM which gives an ultimate seamless fluidic experience. Most resource consuming apps run with ease and are completely lag free. The smartphone has 32 GB of internal storage which is more than sufficient to store lots of videos and apps. The primary snapper of the smartphone is of 13 MPix and the front facing camera is of 5 MPix. Both the cameras are great in good lighting conditions. In the dark, the flash does a good job and captures great snaps. On the connectivity side the smartphone has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, dual SIM support, micro USB for charging & data synchronization and 3.5 mm audio jack. One of the SIM support is of micro SIM type and the other is nano SIM. The smartphone has compass/magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. The X2 runs on Android 4.4 with Vibe UI 2.0 on top. The interface is really smooth and gives a flawless performance. Dimensionally the smartphone measures 140.20 x 68.60 x 7.27 mm. The X2 weighs just 120 grams which makes the phone really light and comfortable to hold. All the powerful hardware is powered by a 2300 mAh battery which is sufficient enough to power the device for one whole day. The smartphone is available In the Indian market in four colors, that are, White, Gold, Red and Dark Grey. The support for dockets and stands for music and charging is also given at the back of the smartphone for the ease of use. The loudspeaker of the device gives a very good performance and has good sound quality and levels of volume.

As per our verdict the smartphone is definitely a great buy for INR 19999. The impressive and innovative design and seamless performance of the smartphone proves its worth. The sharp look and comfortable premium feel of the device is a superb point to buy the phone along with the other noteworthy features. Being a flagship phone, Lenovo will definitely keep the updates rolling on for the device and the latest Lollipop upgrade will enhance the performance of the smartphone to the next level.
