Xiaomi expanded its Redmi series with the introduction of three new smartphones in the Indian market. Xiaomi brings the new Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 6A. Redmi 6A is the budget model while the Redmi 6 is mid-range and Redmi 6 Pro is the high-end model.
All the smartphone features a Dual 4G LTE support, 12nm Fin FET Chipset, and Face Unlock feature. Right now they run on MIUI 9.6 but Xiaomi confirmed they will get the MIUI 10 update very soon.
Redmi 6A features a 5.45-inch display, MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based MIUI 9.6 and is backed by 3000mAh of battery.
Redmi 6 is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. There is 32GB/64GB of onboard storage expandable up to 256GB. It has a 5.45-inch (1440 × 720 pixels) HD+ display and 3000mAh of battery. It is equipped with a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, secondary 5MP camera and 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch (2280×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:9 display with the notch. the smartphone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) based MIUI 10. It sports a 12MP primary rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, a secondary 5MP camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, 1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it sports a 5MP sensor.
All the Xiaomi smartphones come in four colors, Blue, Black, Gold and Rose Gold. A special Red color model is available only for Redmi 6 Pro. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is priced at Rs. 7999 for 3GB/32GB model while the 3GB/64GB models is priced at Rs. 9499. Redmi 6 Pro is priced at Rs. 10,999 for 3GB/32GB model while the 4GB/64GB model is priced for Rs. 12,999. On the other hand the budget model, Xiaomi Redmi 6A is priced at Rs. 5999 for 2GB/16GB variant and Rs. 6,999 for 2GB/32GB variant.
The first sale of Redmi 6A is on19th September at Amazon and Mi.com. Redmi 6 is on 10th September at Flipkart and Mi.com, and the Redmi 6 Pro sale is on 11th September at again Amazon and Mi.com
