Airtel’s Karbonn A40 Indian smartphone vs Reliance JioPhone

Airtel takes a big leap ahead of Jio with its smartphone, in partnership with Karbonn!

Today Airtel launched its smartphone in collaboration with Karbonn. In this post, we are going to see how this smartphone compares with the JioPhone in detail.

  • The Karbonn A40 Indian comes with a larger 4-inch display with full touchscreen, whereas Jio Phone has a non-touch 2.4-inch display
  • It runs Android 7.0 Nougat, which means it lets the user install apps from the Google Play Store directly – YouTubeFacebook, Whatsapp, etc. In contrast, the JioPhone runs Kai OS for which the app ecosystem isn’t there and we have to wait for the developers to create apps. Currently, even apps like WhatsApp are unavailable on the feature phone
  • The Airtel Smartphone has dual-SIM card slots, which lets the users use SIM card from any operator, as it’s not locked like the JioPhone.
  • Ownership of the phone totally with the customer. No worries about returning the phone to avail the cash back. The refund process is also easier.
