Sony introduces two new 5.1 Channel Soundbar Home Theater System in India. The two new models are HT-S700RF and HT-S500RF. The new Sony HT-S700RF and HT-S500RF soundbars comes with a new diamond cut ‘punching metal’ grille at the front with a rhombus pattern. Both the speaker deliver 1000 Watts (RMS) of power and support Bluetooth v4.2. They do support AAC, however, they lack the support of the LDAC, aptX or aptX HD high-quality wireless audio streaming codecs.
The HT-S700RF is tallboy-style rear speakers which have a 20cm subwoofer while the HT-S500RF is bookshelf speakers which have an 18cm subwoofer. The front bar is common across the two and has three speakers and two tweeters. The three front speakers and the two rear speakers deliver 152 Watts of power each and the subwoofer is rated at 240 Watts. Both soundbars are compatible with the Sony Music Centre app, which users can use to navigate files on plugged in pen drives.
The HT-S700RF has been priced at Rs. 37,990 and the HT-S500RF retails for Rs. 29,990. Both will be available across Sony Centers and major electronic stores in India from 10th August onward.
