Xiaomi Mi A3 Launched: Android One Smartphone with In-Display Fingerprint Sensor & Triple Camera Setup starting ₹12,999

Xiaomi just launched the rebranded version of earlier launched Mi CC9e smartphone in India. The Mi A3 smartphone as it’s called carries the tag of being the 3rd in line of M (mid-range) smartphone by the company.

It comes with a 6.08-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on top. This screen includes a 7th Gen snappier new In-display fingerprint sensor that is protected by the latest Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The design is rather new with its cute looking dynamic holographic pattern. Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset which is coupled with optional 4/6GB of RAM. In terms of software, the phones still run the clean stock version of Android One UI that has been a signature feature of the A-series smartphones. This OS promises smooth visuals and a clutter-free ecosystem to render a beautiful user experience. Camera-wise, the device comes with a triple camera setup of 48MP primary lens (f/1.78), 8MP Wide-angle lens & 2MP Depth sensor. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is a solid AI-powered 32MP unit that comes with a hoard of features like AI scene detection, Palm Shutter & AI Portrait mode. The battery is a modest 4,030mAh unit with support for 18W fast charging through its USB-C input. Significant features include a P2i Splash proof coating, IR blaster, Smart Power Amplifier and MicroSD card support up to 256GB.

Xiaomi has tried naming the colour schemes similar to one that Google uses with its Pixel smartphones. There are three colour variants called the More Than White, Kind of Grey and Not Just Blue. The smartphone is priced at ₹12,999 for 4GB+64GB variant and ₹15,999 for 6GB+128GB variant respectively.
