Xiaomi also welcomed its regular Redmi Note 8 smartphone alongside the Pro one. The device comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD with a similar form factor of 90% screen to body ratio. However, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 665 11nm processor with 6GB of max RAM. It features a 48MP camera with 4-in-1-pixel binning technology for low light shots coupled with 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro lens for 2cm shots. Front on the other side is an excellent 13MP camera for shooting selfies.
The significant changes over the earlier note smartphone come in shape of an enhanced speaker setup of 1217 super linear smart PA technology that assures excellent sound and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that is 30% smaller and faster than earlier. A 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protects the body on the front and back with a tinted reflective fluid design to it. It comes with a splash-proof design that packs a 4000mAh battery with support for quick charging via an 18W charger included in the box.
The Redmi Note 8 comes in four distinct colours options called the Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Cosmic Purple, and Space Black. The smartphone is priced at ₹9999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version and ₹12,000 for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
