Alcatel started making more tablets!
Alcatel, a French global telecommunications equipment company, has just launched a new budget Android tablet called the One Touch PIXI 7 at MWC 2014 in Barcelona. The device is priced at €79 ($109) and is aimed at Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin American markets.
The tablet includes a 7-inch qHD display, a 1.2GHz dual core MediaTek chipset, 512MB or 1GB of RAM depending on the region and Android 4.4 KitKat. It comes with only 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded with the help of a microSD card slot. The device doesn’t support 3G or cellular support, so customers will have to settle for Wi-Fi networks.
Other features include VGA cameras on the front and back respectively, an IR port, a 2,840mAh battery.
At $109, the PIXI 7 is certainly a decent bargain considering what it brings to the table. The fact that it runs Android 4.4 KitKat is just the icing on the cake.
