Wondering what is intel’s strategy? Well it showcased a portfolio of devices which suggested the future is Tablets and 2 in 1s.
People are not satisfied with just one thing they have. All of them want best of both the worlds and hence 2 in 1s. All the big companies are trying their best to satisfy (read lure) their customers. Making combined devices and increasing the usability.
At a press conference held in Delhi Intel showcased a range of tablets and 2 in 1s from various companies like Dell, HP, ASUS, Acer, Lenovo and ECS.
Intel estimates the overall tablet demand in Asia Pacific and Japan will be up 32 per cent Year-on-Year in 2014. In particular, India, Indonesia, Japan and Australia will equate to 59 per cent of tablet demand. Tablet demand in India is forecast at 18% of the Asia Pacific and Japan (ex-China) demand for 2014.
Intel’s Bay Trail: Multicore SoC Family for Mobile Devices
This is a quad-core processor which promises a balance of performance, features and battery life. Bay Trail-T, M and D are the three next ten processors.
New Atom processors:
Merrifield and Moorefield are the new atom processors. The promise best in class compute performance.
