Xiaomi with big phablets!
Xiaomi…a.k.a. Mi India has come up with a fantabulous tablet…which is highly expected to set new benchmarks for the tablets available in India currently at its price segment.
As far as the specifications are concerned the Xiaomi Note comes under 2 variants of processors. Standard version has an 8 core MediaTek MT 6592 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The enhanced version also features an 8 core MediaTek MT 6592 processor but is clocked at higher 1.7GHz. The display is very impressive which is a 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen having a resolution of 720 x 1280p having MultiTouch functionality. The device also comes in two variants in terms of RAM, i.e. 1GB RAM in the standard version and 2GB in the enhanced version which along with the incredible processor have an incredible flawless performance. The device has 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded by the help of micro SD card to up to 32GB. The primary snapper in the Mi Note has 13MPix resolution which includes flash as well and has the features of white balance, focus mode, focus area, automatic supported, and scene mode. The lens is of 28mm wide angle type with zero shutter lag, face recognition, high dynamic range (HDR) and real time filters. 1080p and 720p recording capabilities are present in the device. The front facing camera has a resolution of 5MPix which is also impressive in capturing noise free selfies. On the connectivity side the device has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass and Micro USB. We were expecting it to have NFC as well but it wasn’t there. The device has 2 SIM card slots and one of them supports 3G connectivity. Compass/Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscopic sensors are present in the device.
The Mi Note stands at just 199 grams in terms of weight and dimension wise it is 154×18.7×9.5 mm. All the hardware is powered by an impressive 3200 mAh battery which is as per company can support medium usage for a complete day. The company has also provided with a 2 Amp charger for supporting fast charging of the device. The device will be launched in white colour and consecutively other colours will be brought into the market. The device has an amazing score of 27238 in the Antutu benchmark test. The Note comes with Android v 4.3 out of the box which is optimised for MIUI v 5.0. The expected price of the Xiaomi Redmi Note (enhanced) is of 14000 INR and 9000 INR for the standard version. In all we can say that at this price point the device can disturb the competitors significantly and the market share can be grasped easily by Mi India.
I have just read an economic times article that phone is sold out within 5 minutes on Flipkart. And that price who not want to buy such awesome phone 🙂
