Lattice Releases World’s First superMHL Solutions for USB Type-C

Transmit and receive 4K over a single lane!

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation launched their world’s first super MHL solutions for USB type C to deliver 4K 60fps RGB/4:4:4 video with concurrent USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Gen 2 data. This transmitter and receiver pair can deliver and receive 4K 60 fps over a single lane, enabling a PC experience with USB Type-C devices. There are two devices launched:

  • Sil8630
  • Sil9396

The Sil8630 and Sil9396 are low power transmitter and receiver pair which delivers and receives 4K 60fps over a single lane, enabling a PC experience with USB Type-C devices.

SiI8630 – Mobile/PC Market

This transmitter is a seamless interface to HDMI2.0 transmitters which are already integrated in the application processors these days in laptops, phones. When combined with Si7033, this transmitter provides a complete solution to deliver 4K video with concurrent USB 3.1data.

SiI9396 – Mobile/PC Accessories and Displays

The SiI9396 is a receiver, which is used for MHL adapters and docks. The SiI9396 receiver can also be used in monitors, projectors and TVs to connect to MHL and superMHL sources, including mobile and PC devices with the USB Type-C connector.
