Acer trying to capture mid-tier market!
Acer announced Acer Liquid Z5 which is a successor of Acer Liquid Z3, launched last year. Acer Liquid Z5 runs on 1.3GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6572 processor powered by Mali 400 GPU. The smartphone has 5-inch display and comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Acer Liquid Z5 has 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB. Liquid Z5 has 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front facing camera. The smartphone has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Dual SIM support running on 2,000mAh battery power.
Liquid Z5 has DTS Sound Technology and Acer Rapid design for one-hand control to unlock screen, launch camera, launch home screen and pick up phone calls. It has Quick Mode profiles such as Basic, Senior, Classic and Keypad mode. Acer has Acer Float User Interface which allows better multitasking.
Acer Liquid Z5 comes in Essential White and Gentle Grey colours, phone will be available in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine, Benelux and UK from mid-January for 169 Euros (approx. Rs. 14,400). Accessories like flip and protection cases would be sold by company too.
