Catchy Name by Alcatel
The French manufacturer Alcatel has come up with a new 5 inch smartphone and quad core processor. Along the lines of furious competition and the market saturated with renowned brands of Samsung, Nokia and others, Alcatel is trying to squeeze its way through in the global market by launching this budget smartphone. Alcatel is on a launching spree at the IFA and it has already announced around 8 mobiles. Unlike the previously launched high end and mid-range phones Alcatel has launched budget phones for the budget consumers in the One touch Pop series.
Alcatel One Touch Pop C7 comes with a big 5 inch capacitive display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The processor is a 1.3 GHz quad core processor for efficient multi-tasking. The C7 has a primary shooter of 5MP and secondary camera of 2 MP which is okay for a budget android device. It will be running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and comes up with a pre-loaded ONE TOUCH live app. It is loaded with basic features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G capability. All of this hardware is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.
Alcatel claims that the phones in the One Touch Pop series, that are, C1, C3, C5 and C7 are aimed at the younger generation and are available in wide range of customization options. These phones reflect a youthful, playful choice which deliver simplicity with style. The Pop series phones are in variety of options of display, screen size, colours, accessories and hardware spec to provide everyone the freedom of choice to promote their own style.
The exact pricing is not yet announced by the company but being a budget phone it will be easy on the pocket. The smartphone will be available to the customers from the last quarter of the year.
