Alcatel U5 HD Overview

Alcatel brings a budget smartphone and what it can deliver!

Alcatel U5 HD a pretty basic budget smartphone launched by the company at 5999 INR. The USP of the smartphone is the 2GB RAM, MediaTek MTK6737 processor and 13MP/8MP camera. The smartphone has all the basic elements which is required by a user. Lets talk about it in detail.

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and has 16GB of storage (can be expanded up to 32GB). There is 2200mAh battery and it supports connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. Its a Dual-SIM smartphone.

The design of the smartphone is basic yet the lines patter at the back to make it stylish. The size and weight aspect of the phone is good to use and hold. The display is HD which is not the best but good enough for regular use. The smartphone performs well in most of the segments like touch response, multitasking and app usage. The gaming section is a bit weak but one can enjoy basic simple games without worrying about it much.

The camera takes good images on both front and back. The app can be more user friendly and have more modes for additional usage. The Audio and Video quality of the smartphone is good and one can enjoy it. The 4G works fine in it along with the other connectivity options. The battery capacity is lower than the normally provided in budget smartphones, as it can only offer 5-6 hours of battery life to its users.

Overall the smartphone can be an ideal purchase if you want a pretty simple smartphone for day to day usages. The offline availability is good for the market buyers. In case you wish for more, you can go for other options like Mi 4i or Kult Beyond.
