Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is official

Long wait and rumours end finally!

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 PlusAfter IFA 2014 Apple announced its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in California. According to Tim Cook it is “the biggest advancement in the history of iPhone”.

The iPhone 6 comes with 4.7-inch display with 1334×750 pixels while iPhone 6 Plus is the 5.5-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels. The screen comes with dual domain pixels of extended viewing angles and will provide sRGB gamut.

Both the variants are thinner than current iPhone 5S with 6.9 mm thickness of iPhone 6 and 7.1mm thickness of iPhone 6 model. Both are loaded with Apple’s latest SoC A8 chip, which will perform 50% faster than the first generation model. A8 chip will come with M8 coprocessor and will gather motion data from phones sensors. It will support LTE and is capable of high data speed usage with voice support on LTE network.iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus_1

The iPhone 6 sports an 8Mp rear shooter and iPhone 6 Plus with same an 8MP shooter with addition to Optical Stabilization (OIS). The camera has new feature called Focus Pixels which will allow speeding up the focus performance and will adjust continuously. Apple’s latest camera will allow to take better pictures quality than its previous versions. It will have burst mode that will capture pictures in 10 per seconds and to extend single shot HDR mode to take good quality photos in perfect conditions. It will also come with Slow-motion video capture with 240fps mode which was earlier 120fps.

For accessory iPhone 6 will get six colours of silicon cases and five leather cases for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in Gold, Silver and Space Gray colours with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will go on sale in India from 26th September this year. These iPhone will be sold under hood of Airtel, Aircel and in Apple stores. No word on pricing in India yet.
