Canon unveils their new pocketable duo – PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7X Mark III

Canon, just added two new products to their compact G series line-up, dubbed as the PowerShot G5 X Mark II and the PowerShot G7 X Mark III. These latest editions further the company`s cause in delivering cameras that pack the required agility and quality within a light yet compact body. The PowerShot comes packed with a 20.1MP, 1-type stacked CMOS sensor capable of wide aperture f/1,8-f/2.8 with stunning 4.2x-5x optical zoom. The cameras include Canon`s pioneering DIGIC 8 image processor along advanced connectivity options and much more.

DIGIC 8 Processor

The key differentiator comes in shape of a powerful DIGIC 8 processor and a 1-type stacked CMOS sensor setup which allows for an extended ISO range up to 25,600. This setup facilitates better imagery in low contrast settings that help create aspiring shots even under sufficient cloud cover. 

4K Shooting

 Users can capture uncropped 4K movies, without fiddling through their lenses and also capture high-quality 8MP frame grabs without any hassles. The PowerShot G7 X Mark III also includes the option for live-streaming video straight to youtube which is bound to receive much approbation from the vlogger’s community. Additionally, the camera can be paired with Canon Tripod Grip HG-100TBR though Wireless Bluetooth controller to get the ease of handsfree shooting.  

Smooth and fast shooting

This new product inspires confidence through its smooth and fast operation. It can capture photographs at a stunning rate of 30 shots per second in RAW burst mode. There`s also a dedicated pre-shooting mode that starts shooting 0.5 seconds before users input. A separate Focus Bracketing mode helps the user take high-quality images with amazing details while keeping the subject in focus. Lastly, there is a panoramic mode which can be activated by a simple push of a button.

 The G5 Mark II follows its predecessor with a high res 2.36 million-dot electronic viewfinder that simply blends with the body when closed. The clever engineering behind its compact and ergonomic form factor makes the PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III a perfect daily driver. This platform serves as a perfect companion for lifestyle users who are on a lookout for a pocketable all-in-one solution. 

Advanced Connectivity 

Both PowerShot G5 X Mark II and PowerShot G7 X Mark III can be charged via a USB. Connectivity feature includes options such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), to effortlessly connect with compatible smart devices with just a single tap of a button. Users can also experience the joy of wireless transfers and remote live shooting through Canon Camera Connect app.
