How Chinese brand Coolpad established new benchmarks in the Indian market in less than a year

Coolpad presence in India!

Coolpad Press conferenceThe Indian smartphone market is packed to the brim with manufacturers fighting it out to reach prospective consumers. In such a scenario, it’s an uphill task for a new brand to stand out from the crowd. However, Chinese phone maker Coolpad has been able to do that, in a short span of time. In fact, the brand has entered the Indian market less than a year ago in October 2015, and it has managed to become a name to reckon with, in that period.

So, as we are awaiting the company to launch its latest offering, which is expected to redefine selfies, it’s important to look at its journey of success. Let’s check out what the brand has launched since its entry in India. You can check out the Coolpad Brand Store in Amazon.in.

The impressive debut with the Coolpad Note 3

Coolpad Note 3The company forayed in the country with all guns blazing with the Coolpad Note 3. The phone redefined the specs and value for money factor in the budget range. Priced at Rs 9,999, it was the affordable smartphone in India with a beefy 3GB RAM. That’s not all, the device also made security an important aspect as it offered a fingerprint scanner at the back. Instead of just using it for locking and unlocking purposes, the company ensured that the fingerprint reader can be used for other things too, and users could match their fingers to quickly access an app. Apart from these, the mobile also had an impressive spec sheet.

Breaking its own record with the Coolpad Note 3 Lite

Coolpad Note 3 LiteThe stakes were higher when the brand had to launch its second smartphone – and it managed to impress again. The Note 3 Lite was a sibling to the Note 3, and it took the same formula – powerful specs at an affordable price, to the next level. It took the title of affordable phone with 3GB RAM and fingerprint module from its brother, as it carried a price tag of Rs 6,999. It also offered a compact size with a 5-inch display.

After that, Coolpad launched the ‘Plus’ variant of Note 3 to make it even more compelling. The phones were essentially similar, but it offered a sharper full HD display, at the same price of its predecessor.

Upping the game with the Coolpad Max

Coolpad Max_1After ruling the Rs 10,000 segment, Coolpad went directly for the sub-Rs 25,000 price bracket with its next offering. Dubbed as Max, the phone truly lived up to its name with powerful hardware and useful features. It offered a 5.5-inch full HD display, an octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage. While all this was interesting, what’s revolutionary was the fact that the Coolpad Max came with a dual space feature. It allowed users to use two accounts of apps like WhatsApp and Facebook, which is amazing. Consumers don’t need to have two separate lives – business and personal, since the dual-SIM Max also allowed them to use both accounts on a single device. Interestingly, after Coolpad, many other companies started implementing this option on their phones, which suggests that it’s always ahead of the competition.

Changing the reality with Cool VR 1x headset

Cool VR 1XVirtual reality is on everyone’s tongues these days. But not everyone can afford that. To change that, Coolpad launched the Cool VR 1x headset which costs just Rs 999. Not just with Coolpad smartphones, which we discussed above, the headset is compatible with all mobile devices. It can accept devices with screen sizes between 4.7-inches and 5.7-inches, and they just need to have a gyroscope.

Coolpad has surely come a long way, and it won’t be wrong to say that its next smartphone would also revolutionise the industry. We can’t wait to see what it is. So, stay tuned with us to know all about it.
