ColorOS 7 is finally here: Check out the latest features and timeline for your device

After a long period of receiving minor upgrades, Oppo decided to roll out its new 7th generation of ColorOS user interface. With the update reaching shores across India on 26th November, we thought it’s an excellent time to take a look at what the OS has in store for us.

Revamped UI & Added Sound Effects

It’s no brainer that the new update has a significant upgrade in regards to the UI element. This visual makeover this time around accounts for some clean, soothing colours that reduces eye fatigue and comes with an option to change the icon pack to your liking. Oppo has bundled their Art+ wallpaper which blends well with the icon and UI elements. The Dark mode also included.

There are a new set of sound effects which reflect a “Human Nature”, that has been crafted with a partnership between Oppo and Danish firm Episound.

Enhanced RAM Management

Oppo has optimised the UI to render smooth transitions without taking a toll on the performance. The company has also dialled down on the application start-up time and system resource efficiency.

Breeno Voice Assistant

The significant addition to this update comes in the form of an all-new voice assistant. This assistant moreover works like Google’s assistant but has some unique features like Breeno driving mode, Breeno sleep mode, Breeno automatic command, and many more.

Updated Camera App

The addition also includes some simple changes in the camera department. There is a new portrait mode 2.0, super-focus mode, and night mode, which offers an added control to users. Plus, users get an inbuilt SoLoop video editor for editing on the go. 

Prioritized Security

With a new report stating user demands of enhanced security measures, Oppo has taken the next step by equipping the new OS with protects user info sharing between 3rd party apps. The system also allows for safe transfer of photo, videos, audio and other documents with a new secure zone in storage folder. 

As the Oppo and Realme both run on the ColorOS user interface, both have been given a different timeline due to their system testing and hardware capabilities.
