According to a blog post foursquare is now updating its features and providing a backgrfoursquare1ound push notification or always on location aware system. This will provide you a push notification or ping you when you are near a place which might be of your interest, when you are eating something somewhere it may suggest you what people like to have when they are there. Push notification will work in the background and it will suggest you a place which people like the most around you or provide you a better option when you are searching for something new by providing you others review.

According to company this may draw 0.7% per hour from your battery which is equivalent to 20 min gaming and they are working on reducing the power consumption. This will first be introduced on Android mobile and then for iPhones.
