The Chinese brand Gionee has recently launched its latest offering, the A1 in India. The smartphone was first unveiled at the MWC 2017. The Gionee A1 is the camera-centric offering from the company. And by that, we don’t just mean the primary snapper. In fact, the device has more megapixels at the front when compared to the rear. The A1 features a 16-Megapixel front facing camer with f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.8-inch sensor and selfie flash. The rear camera is of 13-Megapixel.
On the specifications side, the Gionee A1 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution. It’s powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage with a 256GB expandable microSD slot.
While we’ll be bringing you our review, today let’s take a look at the cameras on the Gionee A1. The phone features a lot of modes for better camera usage as per one’s need. These include Night, Professional, Time-lapse, Slow-Motion, Smart-Scene, Text-Recognition, Gif, Pic-Note, Smart-Scan, Mood-Photo, Card-Scan and Translation. The modes allow the user to take great shots through it.
Talking about the quality, the overall camera performance is quite good. The rear camera works fine while the front one works impressively for selfies. The captured images have good colour reproduction, sharpness and details. The front selfies are also great and the selfie flash works fine, helping a lot while taking shots in low-light.
