Gionee announces A1 and A1 Plus at MWC 2017 with better battery life and selfies

Gionee has introduced two new smartphones at the MWC 2017 with better selfie cameras and bigger batteries. The Gionee A1 and A1 Plus both come with some really interesting specifications related to the camera as well as battery. As per Gionee, both of these smartphones are aimed toward the young who are looking for a phone with better selfie camera and bigger battery life.

The Gionee A1 has a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by a Helio P10 octa-core processor from MediaTek. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which can be expanded further using a microSD card. The phone has a rear camera of 13MP while the front camera is 16MP shooter and both of these cameras have flash which means you have flash for the selfie camera as well. The phone has a battery of 4050mAh which will provide good battery backup for sure.

The Gionee A1 Plus is a bigger device with a 6-inch display and under the hood it is powered by an Helio P25 64-bit octa-core processor which is clocked at 2.5GHz and there’s Mali T880 MP4 GPU present to handle the graphics. You get 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is also expandable on the A1 Plus. There’s 4550mAh battery on the phone which will be providing great battery life. Coming to the camera, you have a 20MP selfie camera with flash and there’s a dual camera setup of 13MP + 5MP on the back. Both of these phones run on Android 7.0 Nougat and they both have Amigo 4.0 UI skin on top.

The Gionee A1 will be sold at EUR 349 while the A1 Plus will be sold at EUR 499.
