It gets KitKat!
Gionee now a leading Chinese mobile maker in the market has announced the long awaited update for the Gionee Elife E7 mini. The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade has to be updated manually via flash tools and will also be done at any of the Gionee service centers free of cost but we were anticipating OTA upgrade as well. But for now, the new software will offer a host of new features and promises seamless user facilities. The new upgrade also promises revamp of the user interface, applications and layout. With the new user interface design there will be enhanced features like an updated Amigo paper and game zone, wallpapers application, improved security and more.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is said to bring a new desktop layout design, Du speed booster for faster performance, new gaming user interface giving a better grip over gaming applications, as well as a new TouchPal input method and Cam card.
Several updates have also been done to applications. GioneeXender has been optimised for performance and improved for linking success rate. The UC browser has been updated for optimized UI and page loading effects. The NQ mobile security has been update for better protection of the device. Kingsoft QPS has been updated as well for more efficiency and study related operations. Maps have also been updated for only one entrance into the main menu for easier handling. Some of the apps that were present earlier when the E7 sported Jelly bean out of the box have been removed namely world cricket champion, Texas poker, Green farmer and wonder zoo as they were mostly undesirable and weren’t able to attract users.
The Elife E7 Mini comes with a 4.7-inch display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor alongside a Mali 450MP4 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. The highlight of the Elife E7 mini is its 13-megapixel camera which comes with rotating capabilities which is a delight for the photographers.
