Google launched new Health Card with Apollo Hospital and Columbia Asia Hospital

Health related Google card!

Google HealthGoogle announced India searching health information with more quickly and easily as health cards in Knowledge Graph. Google collaborate with Apollo Hospitals and Columbia Asia Hospitals for content and information. It cover over 400 health conditions including malaria and dengue fever.

Google will reply about common health conditions, it will display information cards with symptoms. It will also let you know weather the disease is critical, contagious and what are its effects.

The Knowledge Graph is designed for health information and India is the third country to get it after US and Brazil. These cards will be available in Hindi and English, covering all common conditions. Google will load in lighter version for slow connections.

Prem Ramaswami, Senior Product Manager at Google, said,

In fact, one in 20 searches are for health-related information. We worked closely with a team of local and international doctors to curate and validate this information including Apollo Hospitals and the Columbia Asia Hospitals here in India. During product development we also consulted the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and ASHAs who are community health workers to ensure the information on the cards is useful and accessible.”[/notification]

Users can try these new cards in Google app on Android or iOS smartphones and tablets. It will run smoothly on mobile and desktop platforms. High quality illustrations from licensed medical illustrator will be also offered for some conditions.

All the result showed by Google is not as medical advice but can be used for information purpose. People should always consult a medical professional for health related issues. Google will work to bring more conditions and health information on your fingertips.
