Google Pixelbook Go Laptop and Truly Wireless Pixel Buds Announced

Alongside the new Pixel smartphone, Google also announced its new Ultra-portable Pixelbook GO laptop at the event held in New York today. This new touch screen laptop runs on ChromeOS platform and packs a bigger battery as compared to the Pixelbook laptop launched a while ago.   

The design of the Pixelbook Go is quite premium with its lightweight design and textured bottom. Its magnesium casing and sleek matte finish body make it an eye candy. The screen size is set at 13.3-inch that is capable of putting out 4K content at 3840×2160 pixels. There are four different variants users can choose from, with goes all the way to a beefy 8th Gen Intel i7 Processor coupled with 16GB RAM and 256GB of SSD. 

Besides its speediness as a Chromebook, it features a full-sized backlit keyboard, 1080p webcam, a google assistant key, and a new Titan C security chip with FIDO authenticator. The laptop claims to deliver an onscreen time of over 12 hours with additional support for fast charging as it can provide 2 hours of screen time within just 20 minutes of charging. 

Google Pixelbook Go comes in two distinct colours called the Just Black and Not Pink.

The laptop is priced at 

  • Intel M3, 8GB RAM, 64GB storage – $649 
  • Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage – $849
  • Intel i5 16GB RAM, 256GB storage – $999
  • Intel i7 Core, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage – $1399

The laptop is available for pre-orders starting today in US and Canada.

Google Pixel Buds:

Besides the laptop, Google also launched an all-new Pixel Buds at the event. The new earbud comes with a hybrid design, more extended range, and some additional cool features. The Google Pixel Buds now sport a low-profile look that sits flush with the ear. The hybrid design with the spatial vent allows for comfortable listening sessions. There is Adaptive sound technology that optimizes its volume as per the surrounding sound. The buds also include a voice accelerometer that detects the user speech for improved hearing experience in chaotic conditions. 

The extended range connectivity ensures the buds won’t disconnect from your phone during your indoor GYM workout. Furthermore, it comes with automated detection and touches control gestures like tap to play and double-tap to skip the song and swipe to control the volume. The built-in battery gives 5 hours of listening time, which can be enhanced using the wireless charging case up to 24 hours. As expected, the buds are sweat and water-resistant, too, with the support for Google’s most helpful voice assistant. 

Google Pixel Buds come in Clearly White, Oh So Orange, Quite Mint, and Almost Black color. Its priced at US$179 and will be start shipping later next year.
