Hauwei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and M-Pen are Now Official

Huawei has just revealed its next-generation flagship devices in the market. The brand has recently organized an event in London, United Kingdom where some cool announcements have been made. Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 X are the three new super premium devices from the house of Huawei. All 3 devices are equipped with the fresh 7nm SoC from the house of Huawei and come with all features that a user can expect from a flagship. So let’s check out their specifications and pricing in detail.

The most expensive Huawei Mate 20 Pro features the latest 40W SuperCharge technology. Powering the three is a Kirin 980 7nm Octa-Core processor. Compared to the Kirin 970 chip this thing is 75% faster and 58% more efficient. All 3 devices run on EMUI 9.0 which is based on the Android 9 Pie.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Mate 20 Pro comes with an amazing 6.39(inch) Curved AMOLED Display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 HDR. The Display delivers a peak brightness of 820 nits. The devices house a 40MP+20MP+8MP Triple-rear Camera setup with Leica Optics. Other than images this time AI will work in videos as well. In the front, a 24MP selfie camera is provided with Aperture f/2.0 and 3D Face Scanning tech. The device will be made available in two variants: 8GB RAM+256GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.

Mate 20 Pro houses an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner which is pressure sensitive as well. Mate 20 Pro runs on a massive 4200mAh battery and with Huawei’s SuperCharge tech you can charge up to 70% of your battery in just 30 min. Huawei has provided stereo speakers with the device and the devices even come with an IP68 rating which further makes it water/dust resistant. The device even supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging which will help you charge other devices. Mate 20 Pro has a single USB Type-C port for both Charging and audio.

Huawei Mate 20

Mate 20 houses a 6.53(inch) Full HD+ IPS LCD Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3, HDR10, etc. It also sports a Triple-rear Camera setup, however, sensors are different. It offers 16MP+12MP+8MP camera set up in the rear with Leica Optics, Dual-LED Flash while in the front a 24MP selfie camera is provided with Aperture f/2.0. Mate 20 doesn’t have any 3D face tracking and the Fingerprint Scanner is also placed in the rear department.

Compared to the Pro variant Mate 20 has a teardrop style notch. Mate 20 runs on a 4000mAh battery and is employed with the old 22.5W SuperCharge technology. It doesn’t offer stereo speakers or waterproofing at all. Unlike the Mate 20 Pro, this device has a 3.5mm audio jack. It will be made available in 128GB ROM and 4GB/6GB RAM configurations.

Huawei Mate 20 X

Along with the above mentioned two flagships Huawei has also announced a third device termed as the Mate 20 X. This handset sports a mammoth 7.2(inch) Full HD+ AMOLED Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, HDR10. It also packs a Triple-rear 40MP+20MP+8MP setup with PDAF, Laser AF, Leica Optics. Huawei will make it available in only one variant: 6GB RAM+128GB ROM. Luckily the device has a teardrop notch which makes it look more attractive.

To compete with Samsung’s Note-series devices Huawei has introduced their new M-Pen which is capable of detecting 4,096 levels of pressure. The handset runs on a mammoth 5000mAh battery with Huawei’s old 22.5W SuperCharge tech. To deal with audio there are Dolby Atmos stereo speakers provided in the handset. Unlike the Mate 20, this device comes with an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
