Paytm has implemented a revised strategy to strengthen its association with 16 million merchant partners spread across the country. The company has taken this route to curb the discreet payment systems and numerous cashflow methods adopted by the merchants.
After the QR based payment method, Paytm has now decided to introduce these range of services to help its merchants set up a seamless digital payment infrastructure. These services show the company’s commitment to understand customer behavior and building products to serve their needs. So, without further delay, let’s take a look at what these services are.
Paytm Business app
The new Paytm Business App available on Play Store and business.paytm.com enables a single point system of tracking payments for small or large enterprises. Businesses can use APIs or Paytm for Business Dashboard to make bulk payments to Paytm Wallet, Bank Accounts and UPI addresses instantly. Using this technology, Paytm attempts to simplify and digitize payments for both B2B and B2C players who regularly make payments to a large number of vendors, offer remuneration and food allowance to employees, credit rewards or instant refunds to their customers and more.
Business Khata
The newly launched ‘Paytm Business Khata’ is a feature integrated right into Paytm for Business app.
Using this app, merchants can set payment due date, send automated reminders, collect payment and push payment notifications instantly to improve business efficiency. Merchants can also track their activities through downloadable reports for easy verification and daily business growth at a click of a button.
Offline payments
The company has taken its All-in-One QR technology further with support for accepting payment through Paytm wallet, Rupay cards and all UPI based system integrated on a single QR code to make it hassle-free for shopkeepers. Moreover, merchants can receive unlimited payments directly into their bank accounts at zero percent fees.
All-in-One Android POS Device
Paytm has also launched new handheld POS device, that can facilitate payments from all UPI-based apps, Paytm Wallet, Rupay Cards and even cash which makes it easy to process and manage cash. This device is touted to be India’s first POS device which is equipped with Android and comes with an in-built cloud software.
Paytm’s cloud-based terminal management system will remotely help merchants with various notifications as well as content relevant to assess business activities. The new CMS Platform offers a host of services to merchants including ‘loyalty solutions’, EMI options and brand offers. This software also allows merchants to generate GST compliant bills, manage all transactions and settlements through their ‘Paytm for Business’ app and ‘Paytm Business Khata’.
QR Code Customization
To add a level of customization, Paytm has provided a unique QR code feature which will allow merchants to customize the QR code with their brand name, logo and even picture. These QR codes can be ordered by the merchant via the ‘Paytm for Business’ app which offers a doorstep delivery.
