Here’s what makes the vivo Z1 Pro a fully loaded camera phone

As a brand, vivo has been known for its camera capabilities. In fact, the brand has also been quick to jump on the new trends, be it Pop-Up selfie shooter (with the vivo NEX) or 48-megapixel cameras (with the vivo V15 Pro). And the brand’s latest offering follows the same philosophy. The vivo Z1 Pro is a fully loaded mid-ranger which is the first smartphone in India with Snapdragon 712 processor. In this article, however, we’ll talk about the cameras of  Z1Pro as it brings forth impressive imaging capabilities.

The specs

Before we take a look at the camera quality of vivo Z1 Pro, let’s discuss the configuration. The Z1Pro is among the few mid-range phones that sports AI Triple Rear camera setup with a 16MP Primary camera, 8MP Super Wide-Angle camera and 2MP Depth camera. The sensors are aligned vertically, with the primary 16-megapixel sensor offering a wide aperture of f/1.78. The main shooter is paired with a wide-angle 8MP f/2.2 shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 depth unit. The shooters combine to offer versatile options, including backlight HDR, portrait bokeh, portrait light effects, AR stickers, slow motion, time-lapse photography, AI Beauty etc.

Another highlight of the Z1 Pro is the selfie shooter. The handset features a  32MP f/2.0 In-Display selfie camera at which is at the top-left corner of the display.

The loaded camera app

To make sure that users can take complete advantage of Z1 Pro’s camera capabilities, vivo has tweaked the camera app to offer a ton of modes and options. Interestingly, the interface is also quite different from the one seen on most phones these days.

You get all the modes upfront, such as AI Beauty, Night, Pro, Video and even AR Stickers. There are also toggles for flash, HDR, and live photo, making it easier to access them. The Z1 Pro also has the ability to let you search the image that you are capturing and provide information about the same.

Image quality

As they say, “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”,  take a look at the camera samples below and be a judge for yourself.

What we can tell you for sure is that the Z1 Pro offers impressive pictures with unrivalled clarity in any condition, be it daylight or low light setting.  The Portrait mode also works really well, and you can get various effects such as Studio Light, Loop Light and Rainbow Light, among others. Thanks to a dedicated night mode, you’ll get some nice shots if you keep your hands stable. Selfies are also attractive and full of details.

As mentioned above, the Z1 Pro scores high on all the other aspects too, and, it goes on sale via Flipkart at an affordable price of Rs. 14,990. This makes it the best phone under 20,000.
