Honor plans to flag off 2019 with their flagship offering. With manufacturers opting for compact form factors, flamboyant colour schemes and notch display it becomes difficult to differentiate the product from the masses. However, in the case of Honor View 20, punching a hole through the display seems to do the trick!
Following up its global debut last week in Paris, Honor View 20 was officially launched in India with a starting price tag of ₹ 37,999 – 20% less than its global price tag of € 569 euro.
Honor View 20 underpins an octa-core Kirin 980 Soc chipset, touted as the world first 7nm mobile AI chipset with a GPU Turbo 2.0 driver element. It sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ All View display with a resolution of 2310×1080 pixels which amounts to 398 pixels per inch. Liquid cooling keeps the temperature in check to ensure better thermal management. The phone comes with 8 gigs of Ram coupled with 256 gigs of internal storage.
Honor View 20 showcases its In-Screen selfie camera which houses a 25MP (f/2.0) sensor. It features the world`s first 48MP Sony IMX586 CMOS camera with pixel-binning technology on the rear. A 4000mAh battery powers the device with support for quick charging through the adapter provided in the box. It runs Android Pie 9.0 with Honor`s own magic UI 2.0 running on top.
Besides the truly immersive display, Honor View 20 offers several segment first features like the Time-of-flight (TOF) used to capture depth, ‘Link-Turbo’ to enable faster download, PC mode to mimic an actual computer.
The extensive work on the design department is evident through the niche Aurora Nanotexture pattern on the back which looks stunning considering the visuals. The phone comes in three colour variants – Phantom Blue, Midnight Black, and Sapphire Blue colour. The Honor View 20 will go on sale through Amazon.in and Honor Store in the country starting 12 am (Midnight) IST from Wednesday, January 30.
Pitted against the Upper tier mid rangers, the battle is bound to be fierce less. Can Honor View 20 win against the strong worthy contenders. Well, we have to wait and see until we get a hands-on.
