HTC Desire EYE with 13MP rear and front camera is announced

Selfie is priority!

HTC Desire EYEHTC finally unveils its most talked Desire EYE smartphone. The new member in Desire series comes with 13MP and dual LED Flash for both front camera and rear camera. It has 5.2-inch Full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is loaded with 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor powered by Adreno 330 GPU.

The Desire EYE has 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB. It comes with Android 4.4 KitKat running out of the box with HTC Sense 6.0 on top of it. The rear camera comes with f/2.0, 28mm lens, 1080p HD recording and front camera has f/2.0, 22mm wide-angle lens. The Desire EYE has a nice front camera which makes it a first of its class to be the best Selfie smartphone yet. Connectivity options include 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and GPS with GLONASS. It has 2400mAh battery capacity.

The smartphone comes with dual front facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers. It is water resistant phone so it has unibody design too. It comes with dedicated two step camera key for focus and to take pictures with one hand easily. It is comes with new HTC EYE Experience and Zoe 1.0. The HTC Experience can do face tracking of four people in same frame, face cropped and positioned it to max clarity. It also has screen sharing desktop function for video chatting, It has split screen too for capturing front and back simultaneously with one image and another video. The Zoe is the merging of faces with different person, it can be couple of images or it may be series of video clips with content engine 4.

The HTC Desire EYE will be available in Matt White and Submarine Blue colours. It would roll out in US first in October and then in EMEA and Asia.
