Huawei P8 with 5.2-inch display and Android 5.0 Lollipop announced

P8 comes with slim metallic body!

Huawei P8Huawei announces its new flagship Huawei P8 which comes underhood of P series. The smartphone is powered by Octa core Kirin 930/935 processor with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. It has 5.2-inch IPS display with 1500:1 contrast ratio and 1920×1080 pixels. It is spill resistant with Nano coating.

It is unibody aluminum build with the diamond shape highlighting on the texture with metal. It comes with the triple-layer shark-gill design which gives reliability and robustness to the device, according to the company. The smartphone is 6.4mm thin, and comes with an optional 4.3-inch E-ink display cover that can be attached to the back of the smartphone.

The Huawei P8 has 3GB of RAM with optional 16GB and 64GB which is expandable. It supports dual SIM with the second slot also acts as expansion slot. The smartphone comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top of it. The Huawei P8 sports 13MP rear shooter with OIS, RBGW sensor, F2.0 aperture, Dual color temperature flash and 8MP front shooter for selfies. The smartphone comes with 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity and has 2680mAh battery capacity.

The smartphone is loaded with several touch screen gestures like Double-tapping a knuckle captures a full-length screen image and drawing a circle on the screen quickly captures content. It has super hands-free functionality which lets hands-free speaker calls within 2 meters radius range. It has a search phone feature by voice function which allows users to call out to their misplaced smartphone, which will responds through its speaker to identify.

The Huawei P8 will be available in Mystic Champagne, Prestige Gold, Titanium Grey and Carbon Black colours for 499 Euros (approx. Rs. 33,297) for the standard version and the premium version will be priced for 599 Euros (approx. Rs. 39,970).
