iBall a very well-known computer peripherals maker now in Smartphones business have launched iBall Andi Uddaan. iBall Andi Uddaan is made for women in India for the safety concern as it has SOS button in the back to alert people. Andi Uddaan comes with preloaded ICE (In case of Emergency) that allows you to add personal details blood group, medical history, details of persons to be contacted in case emergency and offers GPS tracking by up to 10 people. iBall is calling it India’s first safety smartphone designed for females with a curved glass touch panel and its back cover is made with in-mould textured lamination, Swarovski Zirconia Crystals on Home button to attract women.

SOS functions are

Immediately sets on a loud siren that alerts the people nearby along with messages and calls automatically made to the five pre-defined contacts
Sends a message alerting of an emergency situation to the pre-defined contacts along with the location of the person based on geo codes.
Sends out a Facebook update to alert friends and family

Users can define geo-fence on map location and programme their smartphone to send alerts via SMS or email when they exit and enter. iBall Andi Uddaan is loaded with 1.3GHz dual core processor on a 5-inch capacitive touch IPS screen display. It runs on 512MB RAM with 4GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 32GB.

iBall Uddaan comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and supports Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and USB OTG. For photography it has 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor which is rarely seen on budget smartphones, it also has 5-megapixel front facing camera for video chat. iBall Andi Uddaan has 2,000mAh battery backup.

iBall Andi Uddaan comes in Pink and White colours for Rs. 8,999 and if you go for 10,990 it comes with flip cover, extra back cover, little pink purse and scratchgaurd which is worth Rs. 1,199.
