A secure and integrated hybrid environment in IBM cloud.
A truly valuable cloud environment is a coordination of a company’s existing infrastructure/IT investments as well as new cloud workloads driven by trends such as the rise of data, mobile and social.
IBM is a company which has been focusing on unmatched cloud portfolio. As these days the companies are more in favour of cloud computing in saving the data and files, IBM is investing quite a large amount to make it integrated and secure view of IT across on premise. By creating a hybrid environment including the backend integration and the governance, IBM has built a cloud based on open stack standard.
In order to give the best to the customers, IBM has built a high value cloud portfolio. The portfolio is built on two services:
- SoftLayer
- Bluemix
SoftLayer
SoftLayer is the foundation of IBM’s cloud portfolio. Since 2013 the clients are using SoftLayer for higher performance, security and open standards. This infrastructure is built for delivering applications across multiple continents and thousands of users within a span of few hours.
From bare metal servers to hybrid cloud, SoftLayer offers a wide variety of options for customers to choose from.
Bluemix
Bluemix is used to build hybrid cloud applications with integration of records like inventory data and also engaging systems like mobile and social apps. It helps in making the cloud applications a secure, reliable, fast and trusted application. It removes the complexity and cuts the application development time from months to days and to hours. In addition Suites of business application (SaaS) will have API based services like Watson, Commerce, security and others to enhance the capabilities of the app being built. As an example, using Bluemix, developers can leverage middleware services to build a new sales app that provides retail associates with secure access to inventory management information from systems of record at the time of customer engagement.
