Intel Introduces the Intel Compute Stick in India

Intel introduced a new Compute stick in India today. The compute stick is powered by an Intel Atom Quad Core Processor. This device is ultra slim and is capable enough to transform any HDMI display to a fully functional computer. The Intel® Compute Stick will serve as a new standard for stick computing devices which are enabled to deliver a mini-PC experience with full-size performance, reliability and complete ease.

This stick can be used in two platforms which provides users with a choice of two operating systems :

  • Windows 8.1 – The Stick is pre installed with Bing and Windows 8.1 which includes 32 GB storage and 2 GB memoy.
  • Linux: The stick comes with Ubuntu 14.04, which includes 8 GB storage and 1 GB memory.

Both versions are Wi-FI enabled and have Bluetooth connectivity. Also, a USB 2.0 port to connect the devices and a micro SD card slot for additional storage. The new generation computing device is versatile and is optimized to get the most out of the Intel® Atom™ Quad-Core processor for games, videos, spreadsheets or presentations.

The Intel® Compute Stick is currently available on Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace. iBall also recently announced the launch of iBall Spelndo PC-On-Stick, powered by the Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor which runs Windows 8.1and has a 2GBRAM with 32GB in-built memory.
