Budget smartwatch by Intex and MediaTek!
MediaTek partnered with Intex Technologies to bring new Smartwatch named iRist Junior and iRist Pro. Both the smartwatches are powered by MediaTek processor and new OS by MediaTek, these were showcased at 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo in New Delhi today. Both are compatible with iOS and Android devices.
The iRist Junior is for kids and is first IOT based wearable device from Indian Brand, it is powered by MT6261 processor. It comes with 0.96-inch display, IP65 rating for water resistance and has built-in GPS tracker for children.
The iRist Pro is the successor of iRist launched last year and powered by MT2502 processor. It is water resistant and can make calls or receive calls. It is also fitness tracking band.
Intex iRist Junior specifications are

- Two-way communication, auto answer and block unknown contacts
- Voice chat, ability to add friend and report location before power off
- IP65 ratings for water resistance
- SIM: 2G single slot
- Connectivity: GPS, Wi-Fi, LBS, SOS
- Battery: 580mAh
The Intex iRist Junior will be available in Yellow, Pink, Blue and Green colours for Rs. 3,999. The iRist Pro was showcased but priced and availability not revealed yet.
