Lenovo P2

Lenovo P2 is the new power-centric smartphone brought up by Lenovo. It contains a massive 5000mAh of battery. The smartphone comes with a price tag of 17,999 INR and has some of exciting features like 4GB of RAM, Snapdragon 625 Chipset and 5.5-inch FHD display. Let’s check out the performance of the smartphone and see what else it is capable of ?

Design and Build:

The Lenovo P2 is made up of Aluminium metal uni-body. The shiny polish at back panel gives it a premium feel. The body design is similar as of most the smartphone coming out these days. It has chamfered edges, metallic body with similar rear camera and speakers positions. The size of the smartphone is good but due to its bulky body it seems hard to hold with single hand.
The power key and volume keys are on the right edge while the SIM card tray is on the left. There is slider switch on left edge for switching between different battery saving mode. The front panel has fingerprint scanner on the home key. The narrow bezel gives it a classic look. Overall the design is great and has a sturdy build quality  Lenovo P2 Review

Hardware and Software:

Features offered by P2 are 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. Lenovo P2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz with 3GB/4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of storage out of which only 26GB is accessible. It also has 128GB expandable hybrid micro SD slot.

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with its own custom Vibe Pure UI on the top of it. There are lots of bloatware present in the smartphone like Skype, Truecaller, McaFee Security etc. The UI is good and provide a lot of customisation to users.

Performance:

Lenovo P2 has good and quick touch response. It is smooth and allows great multitasking. One can swap between apps easily. The gaming performance of the smartphone is good. It handles high end games like Asphalt 8 without any lag.

The benchmark result of the smartphone is also good, it scores 62145 in AnTuTu and 40470 in Quadrant Standard. In Geek-Bench, it scores 794 in Single Core and 2781 in Multi Core.

It sports a 13MP rear and 5MP front facing camera. Both side of the sensors shoots good images. However they are not the best in class but acceptable. The fingerprint sensor works fine and unlocks the device with ease.

Battery:

In our  1080p loop video test, it stands out for almost 24 hours which is really impressive. The standby time of the device was almost of 3 days. It gives up to full day battery backup with heavy usage. The minimal user will be able to use it for almost 2 days after single charge. Lenovo P2 surely stands out with its good battery backup. This factor will surely attract a lot of customers. It also lets to charge another smart device.

Gizmo-Verdict:

Lenovo P2 is a power packed device, with massive capacity and backup. At a price tag of 17,999 INR, it seems a worthy device to buy. It is a really great smartphone for those who want longer battery life and don’t want to charge their smartphone regularly. The smartphone is not the best in this class but you can go for it.
