Lenovo Tab V7 Launched: An Ultra-Portable Tablet with IRIS Recognition for Consumer and Commercial Market

To maintain their prominent place as the No.1 tablet manufacturer in India, Lenovo just announced its new Ultra-Portable Tab V7. This newest offering hopes to build upon the foundation laid by the earlier siblings and yet improvise on its expanse further down the commercial sector.

A burgeoning economy and an ever-increasing adoption of eCommerce and digital technology across diversified verticals such as Food delivery, E-Learning, Hotel Booking, Banking, etc, have long compelled the need of a portable handheld system. These systems serve to fulfil everyday tasks from inventory, deliveries and point-of-sale to repair proceedings. The Tab V7 with its Iris recognition technology addresses this very issue, as it facilitates cashless and paperless transactions, which makes it perfect for applications such as banking, eGovernance services such as passport, taxation, healthcare and education.

Rahul Agarwal, CEO and MD, Lenovo India, said,

At Lenovo, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help them do more and achieve more. The Lenovo Tab V7 is the result of our relentless effort of understanding what our consumer needs, decode their requirements and come up with technology that can meet their expectations. The tablet market is showing signs of recovery, driven by the potential demand from sectors like Government, education, banking and finance and as the market leader, we are well-positioned to lead this growth.

Coming to the device itself, the Tab V7 comes with a functional design that is built to last. It’s specifically designed for content consumers with its ergonomic proportions and a build-in Twin-Dolby ATMOS speaker setup. It packs a 6.9-inch IPS Full HD (1080 x 2160) display with minuscule bezels that give it an overall screen-to-body ratio of 81%. The tablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and comes with a 13MP rear camera and 5 MP Selfie camera setup. It also comes with voice calling support with its 4G VoLTE and packs in a huge 5180mAh battery that is estimated to last a long time

Given the specs, the Tab V7 seems to be an ideal option for anywhere between college going students to seasoned professionals. For all its merits, its vitality in the government and commercial sector is a subject best left to the respective field experts.

Nonetheless, the Tab V7 is a good option and a value for money tablet. Its specifications fit all the application it deems to fulfil with the potential it possesses.

The new Lenovo Tab V7 will be available on Flipkart starting 1st August 2019 and will soon be available on other channels including Amazon.in, Lenovo.com and retail stores including Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales. The device will be available in two variants – 3GB RAM+32GB ROM & 4GB RAM+64GB ROM with expandable memory slot of 128GB, priced at ₹12,990 and ₹14,990 respectively.
