Design

The smartphone comes with the polycarbonate body at the back which feels like leather touch. It has 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front camera. It has LED notifications at the top in front panel, supports dual SIM and has a removable battery. It supports 3G connectivity. It has volume rocker key on right side and power button on left.

Hardware and Software

Canvas Nitro comes with 5-inch display with 1280×720 pixels. It has 1.7GHz Octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor with 2GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB. It has 2500mAh battery capacity.

In software it comes with Android 4.4 KitKat with a few bloat wares and apps like Truecaller which can’t be uninstalled and it access your contact. It also comes with free trial version games and apps which take unnecessary storage space. The best thing is it comes with Swiftkey as default keyboard, which is the best keyboard in the Android market currently.

Camera

Try without flash the 13MP works, it has a pretty good response and front camera is good too. There is an inbuilt widget which allows directly taking video, selfie, front back shoot and a stable mode. Camera does well in sunlight and low light too. Disappointing the video which records @1080p but it is in 3gp format.

Performance

After getting a horse power by Octa core processor, it does justice. No lag in using apps, multitasking or high end graphic games not saying about candy crush.

Gizmo Verdict

If you are looking for performance and a good camera then just go for the phone for Rs. 12,900. One of the most interesting thing is it’s battery life that last up to 8-9 hours use on 3G network. Please check Micromax Canvas Nitro video review.
