IFA 2016: Lenovo announces the Moto G4 Play and new Moto E

Ever since Lenovo acquired Motorola, Moto has been a separate brand name under Lenovo. The company has been releasing new smartphones in the Moto range at a good pace. The Moto G as well as the Moto E, are two phone series that are sought after by many around the world. Lenovo has finally announced the new Moto G4 Play to the Moto G line-up and they have also announced the new Moto E phone. Let’s have a look at them one by one.

Moto G4 Play

The Moto G4 Play comes with a 5-inch 720p HD screen and it is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset which is a 1.4Ghz Quad-core 64-bit chip. For GPU you have the Adreno 306 and for RAM, you get 2GB capacity. You also get 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

You will get an 8MP primary camera with LED flash and the front facing camera will be of 5MP. The phone will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and you will get a 2,800mAh battery along with Quick Charge support. This is a dual-SIM phone and you also get Wi-Fi, LTE, and GPS.

The New Moto E

Motorola also announced a new Moto E smartphone which is their entry level smartphone. This time, the phone comes in a bigger form factor. You get a 720p 5-inch display. The phone is powered by a 1.0 GHz 64-bit processor and a Mali T720 GPU. You can expand your storage up to 32GB using a microSD card which is a great thing. You also get 1GB RAM and as per Moto this phone has an “all-day battery”.

These new phones will also make their debut in India soon and we will be able to get more information on these then itself.
