Motorola One Power Launched in India, Houses a Snapdragon 636 SoC

Motorola, a brand owned by Lenovo was silent in the Indian market for a while now. However, in other markets, they’ve just introduced a couple of new devices including the Motorola One Power. Consumers are waiting for this device from a long and finally, Motorola has made its way to the Indian market. The device is launched as the direct competitor to the preexisting budget king Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. So without making any delay let’s know more about it.

It is a Dual-SIM handset and comes with an engaging Metal constructed body. As its name suggests “One Power” the device falls under the Android One programme. It means, unlike any other Motorola device this would be getting the latest Android updates rapidly. Moto One Power comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636(64 bit) Octa-Core processor coupled with an Adreno 509 GPU for Gaming. The device only comes in one variant: 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, luckily the device supports expandable storage via micro-SD card.

In the front, it houses a 6.2(inch) Full HD+ IPS Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels, 18.7:9 ratio. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. In the Camera section, it features a 16MP(f/1.8)+5MP(f/2.2) Dual-Camera setup in the rear with PDAF, LED Flash whereas in the front a 12MP selfie shooter is there. Moto One Power has a Fingerprint Scanner in the rear and it also offers Face Recognition for security. The smartphone runs on a mammoth 5000mAh battery coupled with 15W Fast Charging technology. The device has a USB Type-C port for charging. The device will only be made available in one color variant i-e Midnight Black. Don’t expect offline availability as it will only go on sale through Flipkart only. The device is priced at INR 15,999 and will be available starting from the 5th of October. It will be available through registrations that are starting today.
