Nokia revealed its timeline for Android 10 adoption

Following Google`s announcement of the 10thgeneration of their most popular Android ecosystem, Nokia revealed their plans for embracing the new operating system. The Android Q, as its named, will be officially making its way onto every Nokia phone by the end of 2020. The company revealed a timesheet stating the arrival of Android Q to various devices in their pipeline.

HMD chief Juho Sarvikas tweeted that Android 10 will start rolling out to Nokia smartphones in Q4 2019 with the first being Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 9 PureView. After the successful adoption of Android Q in Nokia 7.1, 8.1 and 9 PureView, HMD Global will roll out an update to the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7 Plus in early Q1 2020. Next in line would be Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco which will receive it sometime later Q1 2020.Last in the line to receive this coveted update is the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 1 which hope to get this by Q2 2020. Company has stated that the existing devices will receive timely patches and security updates until the arrival of Android 10. HMD is now in the list of few brands with a confirmed timeline on the fruitful adoption of the highly anticipated Android Q platform. Being the part of the Android One project has made the process a lot streamlined in terms of its compatibility across several ranges of devices.
