OnePlus has recently unveiled the OnePlus 12R, the latest addition to its R series smartphones in India, in line with its earlier commitment. Featuring a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 1-120Hz 8T LTPO panels, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and wet hand control support, the device delivers a premium viewing experience.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, offering configurations with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. Notably, it boasts a substantial 9140mm² Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System, over 76% larger than in the OnePlus 11R.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS support, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, consistent with the OnePlus 11R. Running on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14, the phone guarantees 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
Retaining the iconic three-stage alert slide, the OnePlus 12R introduces a noteworthy change by relocating it to the left side of the phone. This adjustment allows for a new integrated antenna and Alert Slider solution, enhancing antenna performance for gaming, according to the company.
Presented in Cool Blue and Iron Gray colors, the device exudes a glossy finish for Cool Blue and a matte feel for Iron Gray, conveying a light, fresh appearance and a sophisticated, robust sensation, respectively. The company also plans to release a OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition.
With a substantial 5500mAh battery, the largest in OnePlus’s lineup, the phone supports a blazing-fast 100W SuperVOOC fast charge, capable of fully charging the device in just 26 minutes. This is facilitated by including a SUPERVOOC S power management chip and proprietary Battery Health Engine technology.
The OnePlus 12R is competitively priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 16GB + 256GB model is available at Rs. 45,999. The device is set to hit the shelves on February 6th, with sales commencing on Amazon.in, the OnePlus online store, and OnePlus experience stores offline.
